Archie and Lilibet might be raised in Montecito, California, but the pair of royal tots still have a connection to their English roots through Prince Harry, particularly through the way he speaks, according to Meghan Markle.

Markle made a rare television appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show—set to air on March 6—to support the release of With Love, Meghan, and revealed that Archie and Lilibet have American accents because they were raised in California. On occasion, however, the tots say certain words in Harry's British accent—and it's nothing short of adorable.

“OK, what’s your favorite thing that you see in your kids that you go, ‘Oh, that’s their dad,’” Barrymore, asked Markle during their time together on the talk show.

“Oh, some of the words that they still say with a British accent, so they’ll say z-e-b-r-a and what else do they say? They have these little moments where it comes out and because they have very American accents, but they say words that are just like him and I think it’s adorable,” Markle shared. “Zebra is a good one.”

As for what the children get from Markle, Harry previously told Hello! that both Archie and Lilibet, "have been blessed with their mother's thick hair." Sophie Vokes-Dudgeon, the magazine's chief content officer, caught up with Harry at the WellChild awards in October, and she noted that "he marveled that it won't be long until Lili can sit on hers."

Archie and Lilibet's "ginger genes," according to Harry, are still present. During an interview on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Harry said, "the Spencer gene is very, very strong. I actually really, genuinely thought at the beginning of my relationship [with Meghan] that should this go the distance and we have kids that there's no way the ginger gene will stand up to my wife's genes, but I was wrong!"
