Meghan and Harry 'will never mend rift' with Thomas Markle
Prince Harry married Meghan Markle in May last year in front of all of their friends and family, but there was one person missing – Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle.
The 74-year-old missed the big day due to a reported heart attack, after it was revealed he had staged paparazzi photographs.
Following a series of interviews Thomas Sr. has given to the press, his relationship with his daughter has become strained.
So much so, one royal correspondent has claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “will never mend that rift” with him.
“I can’t imagine them taking the baby over to see him and tell him everything is forgiven,” Duncan Larcombe told The Express. “Harry’s not like that.”
The royal correspondent claimed in Harry’s book it’s a “one strike and you’re out” scenario, which is “the treatment Thomas Markle has brought on himself”.
After several attempts to reach out to the royal couple via the media, only to be met with no response, Thomas Sr. recently vowed he was going to keep talking and will “probably get louder”.
In an interview with The Sun, he told Harry to “man up and get over it”.
Thomas Sr. isn’t the only member of Meghan’s family whose attempts at contact have been ignored.
Last year, Samantha Markle, Meghan’s half-sister, was seen at Kensington Palace speaking to a guard to try and see the Duchess.
Samantha has spoken out numerous times against Meghan, in interviews and on Twitter, but she’s kept a dignified silence.
Meghan and Harry have got the excitement of their new arrival in April to focus on.
