Megan Gale breaks down in surprise Survivor appearance

Supermodel Megan Gale fought back tears in a surprise appearance on Survivor last night, during a moving video message to partner Shaun Hampson.

Shaun is a former AFL star competing in the gruelling reality show, in which contestants battle it out in extreme environments to stay in the competition.

Last night Shaun and his teammates had the opportunity to watch video messages from home, left by their loved ones.

Shaun is of course in a relationship with Megan Gale, and the moving visual note left by the Aussie beauty had both parties in tears.

“Hello friend, how are you?” the former face of David Jones started off the message which Shaun described as ‘chicken soup for the soul’.

“The kids miss you so much, and I miss you so much. I knew that I would, but I think I underestimated just how much I’d miss you …” she continued, blinking back tears and admitting this wasn’t her first attempt at leaving the message.

“This is my third take at doing this because I just keep sobbing, so I’m going to try and get through this without crying,” she said.

It was tears all round, with Shaun welling up while his partner urged him on with some encouraging words.

“I love you, I miss you, I can’t wait to see you again. Go for it, baby!” she said.

An emotional Shaun seemed so lost for words, all he could manage was, “what a woman”.

Megan and Shaun have two children together.

Their firstborn River is five, while daughter Rosie is just shy of two.
