Meg Ryan made a rare appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty on Sunday, March 10, with the actress looking stunning in a sleeveless flower-embellished gown.
Ryan posed for photos on the red carpet of the star-studded afterparty as she wore a beautiful ensemble in silver, gold and white. The dress was covered in flowers from top to bottom, along with a peplum layer around her waist. She went for a simple makeup look while wearing her short hair in her signature waves, accessorizing with a bracelet and some rings.
Ryan, who wore a Rodarte gown, reportedly attended the party for the first time since 2005. Ryan also commemorated the night with a post on Instagram, captioning red carpet photos, "LOVE those @rodarte sisters! Such a fun night, thanks @vanityfair."
Fans were very happy to see Ryan enjoy a glam night out, with compliments like, "You look absolutely stunning!! ❤️," "Perfect in every way, Meg!" and "Beautiful as always 🔥🔥🔥."
Although the 62-year-old was not nominated at the 2024 Oscars, her son Jack Quaid's film, Oppenheimer, won big, taking home Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor in a Leading Role and more. Quaid attended the awards show, but it's unclear if he attended any afterparties. Ryan shares Quaid with Dennis Quaid, to whom she was married from 1991 to 2001. She is also mom to her adopted daughter, Daisy.
The actress, known for starring in hit rom-coms like When Harry Met Sally and You've Got Mail, recently returned to acting after a years-long hiatus. She starred in the rom-com What Happens Later with David Duchovny, about exes stuck together after being snowed in at an airport.
Opening up about the break from the screen, Ryan told Vanity Fair, "I took a giant break because I felt like there’s just so many other parts of my experience as a human being I wanted to develop." Now, she's back, and it's anyone's guess what the actress' next big project will be.
