Meet the cast of the new season of The Block

Model Elyse Knowles and boyfriend Josh famously took out the winning title on The Block last year.

And now another five teams are giving the renovation reality show a good crack as it returns to Channel Nine in 2018.

The first promo for the new season has been released, and once again host Scott Cam is keen to keep the contenders on their toes.

This year the show is based at ‘The Gatwick’, a former grand hotel in Melbourne’s St Kilda, very close to amusement park Luna Park and the Palais Theatre.

“I knew it was a fantastic, iconic building, and I knew it had so much potential, so I was very excited when I heard The Gatwick would be our next project,” says Scott.

This year the five teams are netballing besties from Melbourne, Carla and Bianca, newlywed parents from Sydney, Sara and Hayden, engaged parents from the Sunshine Coast, Norm and Jess, married couple from the Barossa Valley, Kerrie and Spence, and lovebirds from Perh, Hans and Courtney.

Apart from Scott, some of the show’s fan favourites are returning to the hit series yet again.

Shelley Craft will be Scott’s co-host, while Shaynna Blaze, Neale Whitaker and Darren Palmer will be putting on the judges’ hats.

The Block will be hitting screens on Channel Nine later this year.
