McDonald's Fans 'Need' McFlurry Flavor Only Available in Germany

McDonald's has a new McFlurry on its menu that's making waves here in the U.S.

The global fast food chain recently added a classic flavor of the ice cream-based treat to menus across the border, making fans at home practically beg the company to release a version of it here.

Described as a "creamy" and "temptingly chocolatey" addition, the new dessert is exclusive to participating locations in Germany. It also offers fans several customization options, so they can enjoy the snack however they wish.

The limited-edition original McFlurry Cookie Dough with Chocolate Sauce "offers a creamy soft ice cream base, various toppings and sauces that you can combine however you like," according to a translated version of the official product listing. "Whether temptingly chocolatey, extra crunchy or colorful—the choice is yours"—but only while supplies last!

Trusted food blogger Snackolator was among the first to bring the fudgy, doughy delight to fans' attention, asking their 525,000 Instagram followers for their opinions on several of the company's seasonal international items.

The update came after the U.S. market was seemingly "forgotten about" for the holiday season. Snackolator cited the lack of festive fare stateside—including the Cookie Dough McFlurry available in Germany, McDonald's Frozen Hot Chocolate offered in Canada, the U.K.-exclusive Terry's Orange Chocolate, the Biscoff Caramel McFlurry in Spain and the Kit Kat McFlurry available in several markets including Cyprus, Bahrain, and Brazil.

"McDonald’s stay forgetting about the country that made them🤦🏾‍♂️," one jealous Instagram user joked in the comments.

"I would love to see a cookie dough McFlurry in the United States," another admitted.

"Biscoff cookie dough combo would be heavenly," a third suggested.

"I need the cookie dough one rn," a different fan confessed before one more declared, "These all need to come to the US! 😭."

Unfortunately, the only McFlurry flavors currently guaranteed to be available in McDonald's domestic market are the Oreo McFlurry and the M&M's McFlurry. But with 2025 just a few short weeks away, who knows what the new menu options the new year may usher in!
