McDonald's collabs with Aussie rapper The Kid LAROI for new meal deal

McDonald's has announced it will drop its first-ever local "Famous Orders" collaboration with award-winning Aussie rapper, singer and songwriter The Kid LAROI.

Available from Thursday May 26 for a limited time, Macca's customers will be able to order the Kid LAROI's ultimate Macca's meal.

"My all-time favourite Macca's order is a Frozen Coke, Chicken McNuggets and Cheeseburger, but I'm definitely not about the pickle," The Kid Laroi said.

The Aussie muso's namesake meal deal will therefore include a Cheeseburger with no pickles, medium Fries, medium Frozen Coke and a six-pack of Chicken McNuggets with BBQ Sauce.

"I can't wait to share my meal with the rest of the country and for the first time give Aussies their very own local Famous Order," the rapper said.

The Kid LAROI rose to global stardom after topping music charts with his hit songs 'Stay' with Justin Bieber and 'Without You' featuring Miley Cyrus.

The Kid LAROI will return to Australia this week for a sold-out tour and his latest track 'Thousand Miles' is set to feature in the McDonald's campaign for his meal deal.

The Kid LAROI's Macca's meal marks the first Australian Famous Order collaboration, following last year's celebrity partnerships with K-pop group BTS and US rapper Travis Scott.

BTS's signature order included a 10-pack of Chicken McNuggets, large Fries, large soft drink, and Sweet Chilli and Cajun dipping sauces.

The Travis Scott meal consisted of a Quarter Pounder with cheese, sizzling bacon and crisp lettuce; medium Fries with BBQ Sauce to dip, and a Sprite. It was reportedly so popular that some McDonald's restaurants in the US ran out of ingredients.

Priced from $15, The Kid LAROI's meal will be available in all Macca's restaurants nationwide, via the MyMacca's app and McDelivery from Thursday May 26, for a limited time only.

To celebrate the launch of the meal, Macca's fans will be able to enjoy a free Oreo McFlurry when they spend $15 or more via Uber Eats from Thursday May 26, for one week only.
