Matt Gaetz Reportedly Has A New Prime-Time Gig

Former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) is reportedly heading to pro-Donald Trump TV.

Gaetz’s first post-failed attorney general nomination gig (aside from his cringe-inducing side hustle of hawking personalized videos on Cameo) will be as a prime-time anchor for One America News Network, reported CNN on Monday.

The ex-lawmaker hasn’t confirmed the role.

But OAN has published a page on its website that teases “The Matt Gaetz Show” as “coming soon.”

President-elect Donald Trump had picked Gaetz, who has a penchant for insulting fellow Republicans, to lead the Justice Department.

The move was widely condemned on both sides of the aisle, though, with Florida’s Sun Sentinel newspaper ripping him as a “provocateur who’s good at delivering rhetorical red meat on the MAGA speaking circuit” and little else.

Gaetz withdrew his nomination last month amid further scrutiny of sexual misconduct allegations against him, which he denies.

“I’m still going to be in the fight, but it’s going to be from a new perch. I do not intend to join the 119th Congress,” Gaetz, who was once a regular fixture on conservative Fox News, said soon pulling the plug on the AG job.
