George Santos offered makeup advice to his former congressional colleague Matt Gaetz after social media commentators skewered his botched makeup.

Gaetz’s program on One America News Network debuted two days ago, but the host’s powdery appearance stole the show. So, for the show’s second edition, Gaetz begged Santos—whose drag persona was revealed as Kitara Rivache—for some tips.

“What was going on with my makeup?” Gaetz asked Santos. “Help me, give me advice.”

Santos didn’t pull any punches.

“Matt Gaetz let me tell you something,” he began, “highlighter is not for you. Stop highlighting the center of your face. It makes your eye very small, and it gives you the glow—not the glow you think it gives you.”

Gaetz responded, “But I have deep-set eyes, George… How do I fix the deep-set eyes?”

Santos, whose style choices as a drag queen have impressed some, shared a very specific piece of “honest advice.”

“Here’s what you need to do Matt: You need to go buy yourself double-wear foundation from Estée Lauder,” said Santos. “It’s definitely the best thing for us to do on TV so that we look normal.”

He added that he was “concerned” when he saw images of Gaetz. “I thought you had botched Botox or something,” he said.

Santos drew fire in 2023 after a House investigation showed he spent campaign funds on shopping runs for cosmetics, designer clothes, OnlyFans subscriptions, and Botox treatments of his own. He was expelled from Congress later that year.

The observation that Gaetz may have had Botox was echoed by many on social media after the show aired—and one plastic surgeon even suggested Gaetz’s injections had gone too far.

“With your standard neurotoxin treatment, your goal is to soften the lines but still have facial expression and still be able to move the face,” Dr. Christopher Costa explained to The Daily Mail. “But in his case, it looks almost like he has been double-dosed, like these patients that come in and say, ‘I want you to freeze my face.’”

Several other plastic surgeons who spoke to the Mail concurred.

Although Gaetz has not publicly confirmed that he has received Botox treatments, the same claim was levied against Gaetz after his appearance at the 2024 Republican National Convention, when he appeared overly done up for the camera.

In that instance, too, many observers remarked on Gaetz’s unusually arched eyebrows and taut complexion.

The OANN show is Gaetz’s new gig after his failed bid to be Donald Trump’s attorney general, which fell apart amid allegations that the former Florida congressman paid a minor for sex.
