‘MasterChef: Generations’ Results: Who Went Home Tonight in Challenges 8 and 9 of the Eliminations?
Night 8 and 9 of MasterChef: Generations' challenges began with the news from Gordon Ramsay that as of night 8, it was every home cook for themselves. They were no longer cooking in generational teams. No more hiding behind the best cook of each generation.
It was also the night for a MasterChef classic, the “Tag Team,” and Joe Bastianich announced that to make it the toughest tag team challenge yet, each team would have to make four, not three dishes.
Each dish was reflective of one generation. The appetizer from Gen Z was King Trumpet Mushroom “Scallops,” for the fish course and representing Millennials was a Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna, for the meat course from Gen X was a Pan-Roasted Filet Mignon, and finally, for dessert from the Baby Boomers was Crêpe Suzette with Chantilly Cream.

Because she was the winning captain of last week’s team challenge, Gordon assigned Rebecka the task of picking the pairs. Her choices were:
Warren/Hallie
Daniela/Horacio
Murt/Kamay
Jeet/Adam
Michael/Kimberly
Rebecka/Becca
In the second hour—night 9 of the challenges—Aarón Sánchez told the remaining cooks that they would be required to make a restaurant quality dish using coffee as an ingredient in two ways. But they only had 45 minutes, so making a dessert would be difficult.
But first, Gordon did a demonstration, whipping up a dish using coffee five ways: a dry coffee rub, coffee butter, a cup of espresso, espresso dust, and coffee liqueur.
The twist was that the last episode’s winners—Michael and Kimberly—were tasked with picking three home cooks that had to make a dessert with coffee rather than a savory dish. They targeted three of the strongest cooks in the competition: Adam, Rebecka, and Becca and their plan almost worked.

Who won the MasterChef: Generations “Tag Team” challenge?
The best dishes of the night were cooked by Michael and Kimberly, which meant that both won Immunity Pins for the following episode.
“This Immunity Pin feels amazing,” Kimberly said. “That was a hard challenge but the best part is the tallest and the shortest won the challenge, so I think Rebecka messed up, because look who’s in the Top 10 now.”
Who was in the MasterChef: Generations bottom three this week for “Tag Team”?
Then the bottom three teams were called up: Rebecka and Becca, Adam and Jeet, and Murt and Kamay. Gordon announced that the worst performing team was Adam and Jeet and from that team, Jeet was responsible for a majority of the errors.
The contestant going home was Jeet.
“I think being in this kitchen and getting to cook for the legends up there and making Top 12, I never thought I’d be this far, so I am extremely proud of what I’ve accomplished. I came here as a super fan but now, I’m leaving with the confidence of Chef Jeet.”

Who won the MasterChef: Generations “Storms a Brewin’”
The top three dishes of the night were Kamay with a Coffee-Rubbed Lamb Chop, Murt with a Deconstructed Stuffed Pepper, and Warren with a Coffee-Crusted Veal Chop and the winning dish was Kamay.
“I cannot be more excited,” Kamay said. “I made the Top 10. I am so glad I am immune, and I get an easy ride into the Top 9. It’s a great place to be right now.”
Who was in the MasterChef: Generations bottom three this week for "Storms a Brewin’”?
The three dishes that did not live up to the MasterChef standards were Rebecka’s Coffee Custard Crinkle Cake, Adam with a Coffee Panna Cotta, and the third finalist in the bottom three was Daniela with a Coffee Crusted Chicken Breast.
The home cook going home was Daniela.
“Ambition got the best of me,” she said, “but I went out with one of the dishes that represent me, my culture and heritage, and even though I did have some mishaps, I feel proud of myself. I am leaving the MasterChef kitchen much better than I was when I arrived, so much better. Engaged, ready to plan a wedding, and I can’t wait to plan that menu.”
MasterChef airs Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.
