Massage guns have been skyrocketing in popularity as a way of easing aches and pains or releasing tension post workout, especially now that the pandemic is making access to a professional masseuse difficult.
With lockdowns in NSW and Victoria looking like they’ll go for a little longer yet, a massage gun makes a great last minute Father’s Day gift.
This week, Shaver Shop has 20 percent off a popular, affordably-priced massage gun, with the Homedics Therapist Select Plus Percussion Massager Gun down to $119 from $150.
It comes with six interchangeable massage heads and can be set to six intensities depending on what part of the body you’re targeting and how strong you want the massage to be.
It has largely positive reviews and shoppers describe it as “easy to use”, “convenient” and “great for muscle cramps and tightness”.
One person said it’s powerful, quiet and “has a great punch to it that actually massages deep where you need it most and not just wobbles on your skin.”
Another shopper said it’s “perfect to get into those spots when you’re not able to see a professional quick enough”.
Others have noted that the massage gun is a little heavy and that it has a 15 minutes session limit, but at $119 it’s significantly cheaper than the market leading Theragun Elite which retails for $649.
Another affordable model currently on sale at Shaver Shop is the Wahl Deep Tissue Percussion Massager which has been marked down to just $99.
This rechargeable model is a different shape to the majority of massage guns on the market and has a long handle that shoppers say helps reach parts of your back.
It comes with four detachable heads and reviewers have described it as lightweight and very powerful.

The V8 Animal stick vacuum has had $200 slashed from its price and is currently retailing for $499, while $250 has been taken off the V8 Absolute which is down to $649.
