There's no denying that the summer is sizzling in the cosmos, but the heat is also turning up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe too.

Between the movie bombshells dropped at San Diego Comic-Con to the 10th anniversary of Guardians of the Galaxy on Aug. 1, the MCU continues to excite fans worldwide.

When watching these films or reading the comics they're based on, do you ever feel like you align with the characters and storylines that unfold in each? PEOPLE's resident astrologer, Kyle Thomas has pinpointed your superhero traits, based on your zodiac sign.

There are 12 signs that make up the zodiac wheel, all of which fall into four element categories: Earth, Air, Water and Fire. Many people align with the characteristics represented within one of these respective groupings, depending on your birth chart.

"The elements are quintessential forms, each with their own qualities and meanings, and when they are united, they provide the substance of life," Thomas explains. That's why each zodiac sign "needs each other to survive."

Are you fearless and independent, yet eager to soar into uncharted territory solo like Captain Marvel? Are you charming, dashing and funny like Peter Quill (aka, Star-Lord of the Guardians of the Galaxy)?

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Aries, you align with Captain Marvel! When it comes to "one of the most powerful and courageous characters in the MCU," Thomas notes she surely rises to the top... just like you.

Whether she’s taking on Thanos or performing other galactic feats, Thomas points out she is "mighty, fearless and independent." Plus, she's "eager to soar into uncharted territory and take the lead."

With a fierce side to her, Captain Marvel also "knows how to fight for what she believes in and be a problem solver," which Thomas says is just like the ram symbol that represents your zodiac sign.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Taurus, you align with Black Panther! "The mantle of this powerful character is one that demands loyalty, a strong sense of duty and a regal yet humble personality," all traits that Thomas says your zodiac sign embodies.

"Whether you are stepping in to aid the world in a great time of need or showing your traditional side and immense loyalty for Wakanda," he says "these Black Panthers are passionate and devoted to their beliefs."

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Gemini, you align with Tony Stark! Thomas says he "embodies the feisty, flirty and fun energy" of your zodiac sign.

"Never wanting to be contained in a box, Geminis crave freedom... just like Iron Man," he says. "Able to live the playboy life by day and the famous superhero mantle by night, we can see the dual sides of his personality, much like the Twins."

Tony Stark is also intellectual and communicative, which Thomas says "is representative of this zodiac sign." He adds, "His bold confidence and charisma have captivated audiences everywhere."

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Cancer, you align with Spider-Man! Thomas points out the "deeply human and sensitive" character traits possessed in both the web-slinger and the Water sign — and perhaps, are even someone "who has dealt with tragedy and maintains a shell to protect himself."

Spider-Man’s integrity, compassion and desire to stand up for his beliefs and protect those who he loves, whether that’s a person in need or someone especially close to him. "This has earned him the status of one of the MCU’s most beloved characters," Thomas points out.

“With great power comes great responsibility” is his mantra, which he says is "much like the intuitive, resilient and sweet zodiac sign that you are."

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Leo, you align with Thor! As the God of Thunder, Thomas says "he is dashingly handsome, charming and powerful" just like your zodiac sign. "Any room he walks into, all heads turn his way!"

"Not only is he captivating, but he is a Norse god, immensely powerful and fearful to cross," he explains. "Despite his innate cockiness and vanity, he does take pride in protecting those he loves and pursuing romance with the woman that he desires."

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Virgo, you align with Shang-Chi, the mighty bearer of several rings of power! Thomas says your sign is known to be "levelheaded, devoted and able to focus intensely on anything you set your mind upon" — all traits that echo in Shang-Chi, too.

"To maintain his inner sanctity and energy, he practices meditation to cleanse and balance his mind and spirit," he explains. "Virgos often have a major dedication to health, too, and this character brings attention to finding peak athleticism."

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Libra, you align with Peter Quill (AKA, Star-Lord)! Thomas says you're "charming, dashing and carry a hilarious sense of humor" just like the superhero celestial-human hybrid.

"All Libras are immensely social, crave partnership and love to connect with others," he explains — and as the leader of this cosmic team, Thomas says this MCU character "brings a sense of flair and joy to every mission."

He adds, "Peter Quill’s romance with Gamora is one of the major storylines for the character, too, reflecting Libra’s desire for a twin flame."

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Scorpio, you align with Doctor Strange! Thomas says your zodiac sign is "intense, mystical, powerful and often has a draw to the shadow or occult sides to life," all characteristics that are deep within this MCU superhero.

Doctor Strange was known as Sorcerer Supreme for a reason! "Determined, cunning and skilled" combined with "a mastery of the esoteric and occult arts," Thomas says this character will "stop at nothing to triumph" just like Scorpios.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21)

Sagittarius, you align with the Hulk! Out of all the characters in the MCU, Thomas says your zodiac sign "embodies the rebellious traits" of this incredible superhero the most.

As Fire signs, he says Sagittarius "refuse to be confined into a box, often have an aggressive and fiery personality and crave constant adventure like the Hulk." He adds, "He knows that to get what he wants, he will have to just go forth and take it."

At the same time, Thomas says the Hulk "also embodies the highly intellectual traits" of the Sagittarius. "Always thinking outside of the box!"

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Capricorn, you align with Black Widow! With incredible tactics and precision, Thomas says "she is able to strike in ways other zodiac signs could barely even wrap their heads around."

As a fan-favorite of the MCU, he says "she will do what it takes to ensure victory of her vision, family or teammates like this ambitious Earth sign... Black Widow has built a legacy that lives on."

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Aquarius, you align with Sam Wilson (originally the Falcon and now Captain America)! Thomas says you're "independent, intellectual and progressive-minded" which is mirrored in this beloved superhero.

"Just as all Aquarians consistently evolve throughout their lives, seeking to expand their minds and life experiences, we have seen Sam grow from his earlier incarnation into one of the most important characters in the newest phase of the MCU," explains Thomas. "Observant, strategic and willing to think outside of the box to achieve victory, Sam brings his brilliance and experience with confidence."

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Pisces, you align with Wanda Maximoff! As the most mystical and magical zodiac sign, Thomas says you "have a natural affinity for creativity and spirituality" that the Scarlet Witch embodies.

As a Water sign, he says Pisces is also "the most emotional and sensitive zodiac sign," and he says Wanda "possesses all of these traits significantly."

Furthermore, Thomas says Pisceans can "sometimes even be living in a fantasy or a different reality entirely which is what happens in Wanda’s storyline." He adds, "As one of the most powerful characters in the film franchise, she has become beloved worldwide."
