Martha Stewart Promised Her Autobiography Will Be Even Juicier Than Her Documentary
Oh, I'm sat.
Martha Stewart knows that we were all on the edge of our seats when her eponymous documentary premiered on Netflix, which dropped numerous bombshells about her extramarital affairs, incarceration, and friendship with Snoop Dogg. But during an appearance on The Tonight Show, she teased that she has even more tea to spill.
On Wednesday's episode, the lifestyle guru told host Jimmy Fallon that she has an even juicier autobiography in the works.
“That’ll be even more revealing," she said. “Watch out. You don’t know what I’ll say about you.”
While details about the forthcoming book have yet to be formally shared, Stewart announced that Penguin Random House would be publishing it in two years during an interview withToday.
"I call it an autobiography. It’s not exactly a memoir," she explained. "It’s a fun book and all the wonderful, wonderful things I’ve done in my life and all the stories."
While it may seem that the R.J. Cutler documentary gave fans a good insight into her life, Stewart told Fallon that she's hoping to work on a part two.
The documentary is fine,” she said, after recently critiquing the feature. “It left out a lot, so I’m going to go talk to them about maybe doing version two.”
“There’s a lot more to my life,” she continued. “I mean, you know, I’ve lived a long time and I just thought, you know, maybe we’ve left out some stuff. Good stuff."
Although she is vying for a sequel, Stewart shared the one part about filming that she disliked the most.
“I don’t like going to psychiatrists and talking about your feelings and all of that stuff,” she explained. “And the director was so intense on delving.” She did admit that Cutler's tactics evoked some "good stuff."
"He got some juice," she added.
