Marilyn Manson announces US tour dates amid sexual assault claims

Marilyn Manson is continuing his world tour and hitting American cities for the first time since bombshell lawsuits were filed against the controversial rock star.

Manson has announced United States tour dates in the spring, including concerts in Philadelphia, Boston, Atlanta, New Orleans and Houston. This leg of the tour kicks off March 2 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The musician is currently on a world tour that is set to hit sold-out concerts in Zurich, Milan, Berlin and more European cities in February, as well as Peru's Vivo X El Rock festival in March.

Manson's last tour was in 2019, for the Twins of Evil: Hell Never Dies Tour.

It has been a troublesome few years for the 56-year-old "shock rock" singer, who has been embroiled in multiple sexual abuse, assault and misconduct lawsuits.

Following a four-year investigation by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, the newly elected district attorney, Nathan J. Hochman, on Friday announced no charges would be filed against the singer.

"Allegations of domestic violence fall outside of the statute of limitations, and we cannot prove charges of sexual assault beyond a reasonable doubt," the office's statement read. Only a few months prior, the office said it was still investigating evidence in the "extensive case."

"Experienced prosecutors from our office's Sex Crimes Division are carefully reviewing new leads and additional evidence that continue to come to our attention from the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department's investigation," the office said in October. "New evidence has emerged within the last few weeks, adding to an already extensive case file presented to our office by the LASD."

In recent years, more than a dozen women, including ex-fiancée Evan Rachel Wood and "Game of Thrones" actor Esmé Bianco, have publicly accused Manson — born Brian Warner — of sexual assault and abuse. One ongoing legal battle accuses the singer of sexually assaulting a woman when she was 16.

Bianco's lawsuit was settled in January 2023, and several other lawsuits have been settled or dismissed. Wood never officially filed a lawsuit, and in November, Manson dropped his defamation lawsuit against her following a two-year legal battle where he accused her of inflicting emotional distress and spreading the "malicious falsehood" that "publicly cast" him as a "rapist and abuser."
