Yahoo Lifestyle Abigail Breslin Perfectly Shuts Down Selena Gomez’s Body Shamers

When Instagram trolls come knocking, you definitely want Abigail Breslin on your side. The 19-year old actress took to Tumblr to defend her friend Selena Gomez, who recently became the victim of bodyshaming on the photosharing social media app.
Gomez, 22, shared a picture of herself in a swimsuit while on holiday in Mexico. “I love being happy with me yall #theresmoretolove,” The singer and actress captioned the pic. But online trolls on her Instagram were quick to hurl abuse, commenting “Why is she So Fat?” and “You’re so fat you have fat rolls.”

Breslin quickly came to the defence of her friend, using her online journal on Tumblr to post a heartfelt and moving response to Gomez’s bodyshamers.
“Everyone is always saying how we shouldn’t judge each other, so why are you commenting on a gorgeous, talented and smart young girls body when she’s on the beach having fun with her friends AND SHE LOOKS AMAZING,” Breslin wrote.
“I think if we all took the time we spend making each other feel bad about ourselves and used it to make each other feel good, the world would be a better place,” Breslin continued.
“Selena, you look amazing and more importantly look like you’re having fun. Keep rocking those bikinis.”
