After a three-year tenure at the helm of French fashion House Balenciaga, Alexander Wang is stepping aside, and his successor has finally been revealed.

According to Women's Wear Daily, Demna Gvasalia of Vêtements will step into the role of Creative Director, with an official announcement expected within the day.

"We really wanted somebody that has a vision, and someone capable of reshuffling the cards," Balenciaga's CEO and President Isabelle Guichot told WWD.

"I was really amazed by his ability to develop an approach to the brand that was really new and that was really his own…what should be the attitude, what should be the silhouette, what should be the volumes."

The 34-year-old designer will present his first ready-to-wear collection for Balenciaga at Fashion Week in March and will also continue with his Vetements label.
