Cara Delevingne Stars In New Chanel Eyewear Campaign

Despite opening up about leaving the modelling industry behind, it seems fashion will always be in Cara Delevingne's blood.

The 23-year-old stars in the new Chanel Eyewear campaign for Spring 2016.

Cara models both spectacles and sunglasses in the ads while rocking hats and tweed jackets from the French fashion house's Ready-to-Wear collection.

In a powerful essay which she penned for TIME's Motto last week, the Suicide Squad star admitted that she had to reevaluate her life after she found herself "surrendering to the [modelling] industry’s approval process."

"I think it all stemmed from a deep-down feeling of wanting people to like me and love me."

Over time however, she says she came to realise that gaining others approval isn't the most important thing.

But despite all this, and with a budding acting career in the works, Cara admits that she hasn't left modelling behind completely, taking to Twitter she say's "don't worry, it's not the end".

"When you’re coming from a place of living just to work, it’s never as good as you want it to be," she added in her essay.

"It’s never as authentic. When you have balance in your life, work becomes an entirely different experience. There is a passion that moves you to a whole new level of fulfillment and gratitude and that’s when you can do your best…for yourself and for others."
