Gigi Hadid has been announced as the new face of Topshop.
Gigi Hadid is everywhere right now. Don’t believe us? Look at the list of campaigns she is fronting this season: Max Mara, Balmain, Guess… And now the 20-year old has been named as the new face of Topshop.
The flaxen-haired Hadid is the latest in a long line of it-girls that the British high street behemoth has tapped for their seasonal ad campaigns. From Cara Delevingne and Hailey Baldwin to Kate Moss, the brand has a reputation for aligning itself with the most talked about faces in the business. And Hadid – with her almost 5 million Instagram followers and her super-famous BFFs (from Kendall Jenner to Taylor Swift) is one of the most talked about faces in the world right now.

Hadid’s turn for the retailer – which was shot by Tyrone Lebon and styled by Topshop’s creative director Kate Phelan – sees the social media supermodel in a series of casual, undone looks. There’s some Topshop staples in there: fur-lined parkas, perfect denim and cropped biker jackets, mixed in with some more sleek pieces (Le Smoking suits and slinky, slim-line LBDs).
The campaign is going to roll out in Topshop stores internationally over the coming months – “Comin to ya worldwide,” Hadid captioned an Instagram of the campaign – a move that Topshop owner Sir Philip Green says is tailored to Hadid’s particularly global allure.
“Working with Gigi on this campasign continues to strengthen our international vision for the Topshop brand… We are continually developing our footprint across all markets… and I feel like Gigi is an ideal ambassador to underpin these efforts.”
