Yahoo Lifestyle Kendall Jenner Bans Kim Kardashian From Fashion Week

You may have noticed Kim Kardashian shopping up a storm in Sydney this week, rather than supporting sister Kendall Jenner while she struts her stuff on the international runways.
Kardashian used to be a fixture on the front row, but Kendall has reportedly banned her from attending any fashion show she walks in due to the ensuing media circus.
"Kim was invited to a lot of the shows that I was in," Jenner said.
"She called me before and was like, 'Hey, I was invited to the show, I just wanted to let you know. Do you want me to come?' and I was like, 'No.'
"I want to be high fashion. I want to be taken seriously."
Despite the harsh words, Kim seemingly has nothing but support to give her younger sister.
"She had to work extra hard to gain this respect and to fight for people to see she's serious," Kim said recently. "Marc Jacobs gave her a real shot and treated her like any other model. He believed in her and opened the door for her. Then Riccardo and Karl gave her a chance and she has proven that she is the real deal. Her hard work paid off, and that makes me so proud."
Kendall was a fixture at New York Fashion Week this season, walking the runway alongside Naomi Campbell at the DVF show, and going sans-makeup at Marc Jacobs.
It seems the model wants to be taken seriously for her career, even going to far as to drop her surname recently.
"It's just for my work," Jenner said. "It's not as big a deal as people are making it out to be."
