If you're a Game of Thrones fan, you won't equate Kit Harington, aka Jon Snow, with high fashion.

Known for his heavy cloak and gritty demeanour, Harington's character on the hit TV show is centered around his precarious role as one of the men in the infamous Night's Watch.

But in real life, Harington seemingly scrubs up quite well if his new Jimmy Choo campaign is anything to go by.

The 27-year old showcases the brand's latest wares in a series of moody shots taken by photographer Peter Lindberg, who Harington described as "amazing" to work with.

"The shoot was great fun and the location was stunning with panoramic views across LA," said Harington. "Working with Peter was an amazing experience, he is such a talented photographer and gave great direction."

In turn, the brand's creative director, Sandra Choi, complimented Harington's "innate confidence" and "playfully rebellious nature", referring to him as a "true gentleman".

There was one aspect of Jon Snow still evident in the shots though, with Harington admitting he was "contractually obliged" to retain his long hair.

"It has its own contract, definitely," he said. "I never thought I'd say that about my own hair."

As for his personal style, Harington says he liked to think of himself as an “English gentlemen”, but added humbly that perhaps he was pushing it with the description.

"I think very fitted clothing, and hopefully kind of stylish simple, plain, simple colors, simple shades," the actor said. "I'm a big admirer of Leonardo DiCaprio. I'm a big admirer of Jimmy Stewart, Frank Sinatra. There's a broad spectrum there - I mean, they're all very good-looking extraordinary dressers."
