Cara Delevingne On Kate Moss
With the Kate Moss for Topshop collection launch just days away (April 30, not that we’re counting), the brand has collaborated with NOWNESS to produce a series of trailers offering a glimpse into the supermodel’s world.
The first short film to hit our screens stars none other than Cara Delevingne, who’s been likened to Moss ever since she hit the big time. It’s easy to see why: they both have that certain je ne sais quoi so desired by photographers, stylists and designers.
“Everyone wanted to dress like Kate. She was the face. She was the icon,” says Delevingne in the trailer as she draws a lipstick love heart on a mirror.
Cara herself is now one of the world’s most in-demand models, walking the runways for the likes of Chanel and Dior, and starring in prestigious ad campaigns for Mulberry and Burberry.
The 21-year old is not only known for her pretty face however: the model has elicited plenty of press for her quirky, often outrageous antics.
"She's a character,” said Chanel’s creative director, Karl Lagerfeld of Delevingne. “She's the Charlie Chaplin of the fashion world. She is kind of genius, like a character out of a silent movie. I would see her better in a silent movie than a talkie because she over-accents the movement. Girls admire her like they used to Kate Moss. They all want to be as free as her."
If you love Kate and Cara as much as we do, make sure you bookmark the Topshop, Net-a-porter and Nordstrom websites on April 30 to grab a piece of Moss’s coveted 2014 Topshop spring collection!
