Broaden the spectrum
Make applying a broad-spectrum SPF before heading outdoors part of your routine. "Always use a sunscreen with a sun protection factor no less than 30, as anything less won't be effective enough," says Dr Wong, adding that reapplication every three to four hours is essential. Suffer from sensitivity? Choose a product that contains physical sunscreens, like titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, as they sit on the surface of skin and are less likely to irritate.
