For the better part of a year, Margot Robbie and her stylist Andrew Mukamal have used just about every red-carpet appearance as an opportunity to reference the actor and producer's leading role in 2023's "Barbie." Whether she wore head-to-toe pink or a designer's line-for-line re-creation of an original Barbie doll look, their dedication to the bit has been unparalleled (so much so that there's an entire book dedicated to it). And on Sunday, at the 2024 Oscars — the final stop of awards season — it all comes to an end. And that's very much reflected in Robbie's look for the evening.

As if mourning the end of her "Barbie" press cycle, Robbie arrived on the red carpet in a black, strapless metal mesh gown fresh off the Versace Fall 2024 runway.

She accessorized with nothing more than a vintage Fred Leighton cuff and ring, and went minimal with her beauty look as well: effortlessly tousled hair, a thick stroke of black eyeliner and a nude lip.

It's giving R.I.P. Barbie, and we're not mad about it.
