They say never trust a skinny cook, but if MKR judge Manu Feidel’s recent snaps are anything to go by, it looks like fans might have to.

The celebrity chef took to Instagram yesterday to showcase a lean new look he’s achieved in just 12 weeks, posing with a 2.5 kg hunk of fat that is just a quarter of the 10kg he’s dropped.

“This is 2.5kg of fat and I can’t believe I’ve lost 4 of those in 12 weeks,” he captioned the snap, adding a shout out to the trainers who helped him hit the jaw-dropping weight.

The 45-year-old revealed the shock drop after teasing fitness videos on social media over the past month.

While the latest post shows the chef looking uncommonly casual in standard gym gear, he doesn’t always ditch the suit to hit the gym.

Last week he shared a video with friend Guy Sebastian, in which the two hit the gym hard before an early morning interview.

In the video, the culinary master sports his customary suit jacket and preppy look to swing dumbbells and work up a sweat.

He opened up about the gruelling journey late last week, telling Sunrise the extreme food restriction was the hardest part.

“I started with an eight-week challenge and I pushed it to a 12-week challenge…” he said.

“The diet is the hardest part – there’s no booze, no carbs and I’m training five-to-six times a week.”

He said while cutting the booze didn’t pose a problem changing his food was ‘terrible’.

The Frenchman confessed that the rich, creamy sauces preferred by his home-country were especially difficult to cut, but from the looks of the photo he managed to overcome his demons.
