The "Lioness" Season 2 finale, featuring actresses Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman, is set to air this weekend.
During Season 2 of the Paramount+' drama, America's CIA chief Kaitlyn Meade (Kidman) and colleague Joe McNamara (Saldana) are forced to find a new Lioness agent to infiltrate a Mexican cartel family. Their selection, as Paramount notes in a plot description, is U.S. Army Capt. Josephina "Josie" Carillo (actor Genesis Rodriguez) who learns how to be a ground soldier with support from elite fighters.
Marine-turned-operative Cruz Manuelos (Laysla De Oliveira), the terrorist-infiltrating agent from last year's "Special Ops: Lioness," also returns this season.
The show's executive producer is Taylor Sheridan. Kidman and Saldana also serve as executive directors.
