Hostess is one of those snack brands that's forever wrapped in nostalgia. Whether you’re tearing into a Twinkie, a HoHo, or a DingDong, those sweet and spongey snack cakes can take you right back to the days of playgrounds, lunch boxes, and after-school stops at the convenience store in mom’s minivan.

Similarly, 7-Eleven Slurpees also hold a special place in the hearts of many kids (and grown-up kids). The icy, refreshing drinks are synonymous with summer, road trips, and the pure joy of sipping on a frozen treat on a hot day. And, no frosted flavor is more iconic than the Cherry Slurpee with its sweet, fruity taste and shockingly vibrant color.

Pair a Slurpee with a Hostess snack cake, and you’re living any child's dream. Well now, Hostess and 7-Eleven are teaming up to make that magical snack moment happen in the form of a single, first-of-its-kind treat.

Just in time for the annual 7-Eleven Slurpee Day (July 11), Hostess and 7-Eleven are bringing together two nostalgic treats for a snack that’s both new and classic: Cherry Twinkies. The snack cakes feature a Cherry Slurpee-flavored filling.

Hostess has never shied away from unusual mash-ups or treat innovations, but this was a collaboration no one expected. We’ve never considered what it would be like to enjoy a cold Slurpee in a convenient, portable cake form, yet now, it’s hard to think about anything else.

Per an email announcement, the limited-edition treat “features fluffy, spongy cake and lightly whipped Cherry Slurpee-flavored crème filling.” It’s the ultimate convenience shop combo, and we bet it will easily be the biggest snack of summer.

These sweet and fruity snacks will be available exclusively at 7-Eleven stores nationwide from June through mid-August in two-count single-serve packages.
