Lily Collins Debuts Dramatic Hair Transformation on the Red Carpet

Lily Collins is heading into this heat wave with a fresh new 'do!

The Emily in Paris star hit the red carpet in Hollywood, California on Monday, June 24, where she debuted a drastic change of length while posing outside of the TCL Chinese Theatre before watching the world premiere of A24's Maxxxine, which features the actress as the character Molly Bennett.

Collins wowed in an open, powder blue blazer with buttons accenting the sleeves and a matching, asymmetrical wrap skirt. Underneath, she wore a chained garment made of evil eyes and crystals, arranged carefully with the edge of the jacket to maintain her modesty.

She accessorized with gold jewelry and a shiny pair of gold pumps and rocked her darkened, below-the-chin-length bob with her bangs swept over to the side, ending in a little flip. For glam, she wore a soft smokey eye and gentle rouge with a neutral lip.

The actress teased the impending chop on Instagram the day prior, sharing a pair of snapshots that showed off her wavy layers from the front and back that she captioned, "Good(bye) hair day…"

On her Instagram Story on June 25, she shared a glimpse at the transformation in action, revealing that she made the first cut with a video taken in the salon. She looked shocked for a moment as the locks fell into her hand before bursting into laughter with her stylist.

Of the change, Collins told Vogue, “This cut and color feels bolder and yet somehow lighter. And completely more me—right now.”
