Meow Mix Academy presents The Cat's Meow Awards

Academy Award nominations came out today, but the real nominations we were anticipating were Meow Mix Acatemy’s Cat’s Meow Awards.

The food brand Meow Mix consist of a community of cat lovers who underwent some heavy duty research to gather a list of the best cat video performances of 2015 for our entertainment.

They received more than 25,000 submissions from around America, but ultimately had to make some difficult decisions and cull some cats.

The lucky nominees were featured on their YouTube channel and battled it out in five different categories for their chance to win honour, prestige and some delicious cat treats to celebrate their victory.

The crowned cats are:

'Best Cat Napper':
Barb and Fritz in 'Not a Care in the World' (Breckenridge, MI)

'Best Kitty Hijinks':
Melissa and Tux in 'Tissue Box' (Endwell, NY)

'Best Cat-hlete':
Miricle and Panda in 'Crazy Legs Panda' (Buckeye, AZ)

'Best Cat Cuddle':
Lindsay, Manny, and Oliver in 'Brother Snuggles' (Fayetteville, NY)

'Wild Cat Card':
Cara, Floof, and Poker in 'The Floof Massage' (Cutler Bay, FL)
