Couple Replace First Dance With Star Wars Lightsaber Battle

We've seen a lot of unique and unusual wedding first dances in our time but this one surely has to take the biscuit.

A couple decided to shun the traditional romantic first dance and instead opt for a fully-charged lightsaber battle on the dance floor at their wedding.

The newlyweds walked on to the dance floor in front of the band totally normal and then proceeded to pick up two lightsaber, much to their guests delight.

Before long the pair were twirling around the dance floor with their Stars Wars-themed weapons in hand- green for the bride and red for the groom.

While the battle looks intense for the first half, the groom quickly admits defeat and drop his lightsaber so his new wife can take the win, as their delighted guests whooped in the background.

Wise choice we say.
