Scheduled to release later this year, Season 5 will consist of eight episodes with new cases “featuring dangerous villains that only Alexa Crowe (played by Lawless) can catch, but as always, she’s bringing her friends and family along for the ride,” per the official logline.
Ebony Vagulans also returns as tech guru Madison, alongside Joe Naufahu (Games of Thrones) as Reuben, the cafe owner always ready to lend a helping hand.
In the new season, Detective Harry (Rawiri Jobe) has been hiding a major secret, as “Alexa’s bad boy brother Will (Martin Henderson) drops by with a dilemma of his own.” And have no fear, Alexa’s cat Chowder gets caught up in a risky cat-and-mouse chase of its own.
In addition to the returning cast, My Life Is Murder Season 5 will also feature Oscar nominee Keisha Castle-Hughes (FBI: Most Wanted) and Rhys Darby (Our Flag Means Death) as guest stars.
Xena alum Lawless serves as an executive producer for the series, alongside Rachel Antony, Claire Tonkin, Harriet Crampton, Nicky Davies Williams, Pilar Perez and Don Klees.
