Libra Season Is Here, And An Astrologer Wants You To Make Big Changes
Finding balance in life is one of the more challenging parts of being an adult. So, if you’re a bit stressed right now because your work-life balance is out of whack (again), I have some good news: You’re about to regain control of your schedule due to Libra season—which is all about balance—running from September 23 to October 22.
Libra signs are known for being peacemakers, fair, and adaptable, so you'll approach this time of year in the most level-headed way possible. Over the next month, you’ll go after what you want, making you a happier, more satisfied human in the process. That could mean scheduling workout classes before work so you can start the day on the right note, or setting aside one evening a week that's just for your closest friends.
While Libra season will impact every astrological sign, Libra and Aries will feel it the most. Here’s everything you can expect this month, according to Donna Page, an Atlanta-based astrologer with a graduate degree in counseling psychology.
Libra season will push you to consider whether your life is balanced.
Are you always burning the midnight oil, leaving next to zero time for personal pursuits? Or, on the flip side, are you totally phoning it in at work? You’ll mull it all over and finally figure out what needs to happen to reach that ever-elusive work-life balance. Maybe it's a matter of blocking off Tuesday evenings as your weekly group trivia night or trying out different productivity methods to make the most of your hours in the office.
Then, you might question your values.
You may ask yourself: What actually matters to me? What do I stand for? Once you identify it, you’ll prioritize “fighting to the end for values and what you stand for,” and doing the right thing, Page says. That could be anything from volunteering to help a political campaign you really believe in, or carrying the groceries of an older neighbor who could use a hand.
You’ll want to surround yourself with people who “get” you.
“You’ll want to spend time with like-minded individuals that have the same values you hold,” Page says. That doesn’t mean you’ll only want to hang with people who think just like you—instead, you’ll just look for people with the same core beliefs like, ya know, trying to be a good person.
At the same time, you’ll be enjoying life and having fun with friends. “Anything that makes life more than routine and responsibilities” is what this season is all about, Page says. You’ll gather your girlfriends for a fall concert, go to a wine tasting, and sample all the pumpkin ice cream in your area, just because you can.
Now that you’ve mastered the art of balance, you can relax for the rest of the year.
Knowing you’re working toward making yourself a well-rounded human feels good, and if you keep that up, you'll continue to reap the benefits all year long. On the socializing front, making a point to get out and have more fun will feel amazing, and you’ll commit to doing it more in the future. With work, you'll do your best to focus when you're on the job, but make sure to leave at a reasonable hour. (You have a life, after all!) Keep tapping into your value system and to making sure your day-to-day actions reflect that, and the rest of Libra season—and the year—are sure to be fabulous.
