A lost dog named Flounder was returned to his owners in Woodstock, Illinois, on January 3, thanks to a thermal drone which found him in a wooded area two days after he disappeared.Dog Gone Pet Recovery’s thermal footage shows the moment Flounder the Corgi was found.Mike Smith of Dog Gone Pet Recovery said that Flounder ran away from his owners with his retractable leash still attached on New Year’s Day.“We started our search close to where the dog was last seen crossing a road,” Smith said. “Twenty-five minutes into the flight, Flounder was located caught up in some trees less than 500 feet from where the drone took off.”In a Facebook post, Flounder’s owners gave an update on their pooch. “Flounder is happy to be home and is looking forward to being spoiled rotten (even if he is grounded),” they said.
