Netflix announced Thursday that Gossip Girl legend Leighton Meester will guest-star on the upcoming second season of her husband Adam Brody's hit series — and she'll be playing a onetime rival of his love interest.
Fans quickly fell in love with Nobody Wants This when the rom-com series launched in September and introduced the world to filter-free podcast host Joanne (Kristen Bell) and the hot rabbi who steals her heart, Noah (Brody). And now, thanks to Meester's casting, there's even more excitement around the show's return.

According to Variety, Meester will portray Abby, Joanne's "middle school nemesis who is now an Instagram mommy influencer." You read that right: Veronica Mars and Blair Waldorf are going head-to-head. But will Seth Cohen join in on the fun? That's the real question.
In the season 1 finale of Nobody Wants This, Noah had to choose between his future as head rabbi and his relationship with Joanne — and he chose her. Of course, it's much more complicated than that, which is likely a lot of what season 2 will get into. It's unclear how exactly Abby will fit into things, but we just really hope she wears a headband.

Joining Meester in season 2 is Miles Fowler (Bottoms), who will play Lenny, Noah's "Matzah Ballers teammate who gets set up with Morgan (Justine Lupe)." And seeing as how Morgan has a very weird thing going on with Noah's brother, Sasha (Timothy Simons), we foresee a lot of very awkward interactions… and we can't wait.
