Lady Gaga's 'Magical' Tribute Declared the 'Best Performance' of Super Bowl 2025
Kendrick Lamar is surely sweating by now, as Lady Gaga fans have already declared her to have cinched the award for the "best performance of the night" at Super Bowl LIX.
The "Edge of Glory" songstress performed a touching rendition of her song "Hold My Hand" ahead of the kickoff between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles, performing on Bourbon St. to honor the victims of the New Year's Day terror attack.
New Orleans first responders surrounded the musician as she played a shiny black baby grand piano in the middle of the road, wearing what appeared to be a white overcoat with frilled cuffs and a long, voluminous train with a matching wide-brimmed white hat over her recently bleached locks.
Fans were quick to applaud the Joker: Folie à Deux star on X, admiring the fact that nobody captured in the video appeared to have been recording the moment.
"I was bawling at the performance it was very raw," one reply read. "not a phone in sight so you know people were locked in."
They further gushed over the "emotional" clip, calling the performance "next level."
"Holy shit she killed this," another applauded, while another agreed that she "just slayed" the song.
"Lady Gaga's live performance must have been magical," another mused. "who wouldn’t want to hear 'Hold My Hand' with all that New Orleans energy?"
Lamar is scheduled to take the field at halftime for this year's halftime show, and his fans are on edge waiting to see who may join him. Stay tuned to see how he manages to surprise the crowd.
