Lady Gaga and Fiancé Michael Polansky Had a PDA-Filled Date Night at 'SNL' 50th Anniversary
And, of course, Mother Monster brought the fashion drama.

Lady Gaga brought her fiancé Michael Polansky as her date to SNL50: The Anniversary Special on Sunday ngith in New York City—and naturally, she rocked a bold, gothic look for the occasion, while he kept things simple and classic.
Gaga wore a one-shoulder satin-effect gray gown with a wrap waist, a thigh-high slit, and a billowing, voluminous silhouette. She paired the dramatic gown with a pair of elbow-length black leather gloves and the jet-black jellyfish haircut she recently sported at the Grammys. This time, she swept her long hair to one side, adding to the asymmetrical effect of her look. Gaga recently ditched the gothic look for long wavy blonde locks during her Super Bowl performance, her "Abracadabra" music video, and later for her Hot Ones appearance, but it seems she's gone back to black. She finished the look with a bold sparkly cat eye and a pair of towering Monster platform boots.

While Gaga went for a dramatic, gothic look, her fiancé was a little less theatrical. He wore a black tuxedo with a black bowtie and white button-down shirt. Although this couple may have very different approaches to style, they couldn't have looked happier and they even shared a sweet kiss on the red carpet.

During Friday night's concert portion of the Saturday Night Live anniversary festivities, Gaga flexed not only her musical skills, but also her comedic chops. She performed a silly version of “Shallow" from A Star Is Born with Andy Samberg, before they opted instead for a rendition of the Lonely Island’s “Dick in a Box," an SNL classic.

Gaga and Polansky have been linked since 2023. Their engagement was made public in July 2024. “I just love my fiancé so much," Gaga said to People after the news dropped. "He's my best friend. He's my partner, and I just feel like when you are with your best friend, everything changes.”
Polansky has joined Gaga at a number of industry events—often with Gaga bringing the drama and Polansky bringing the classic tailoring—for instance, the pair made a bold red carpet debut last September at the Venice Film Festival premiere of Joker: Folie à Deux with Gaga wearing a dramatic headpiece and Polansky wearing—you guessed it—a classic suit.
