Kylie Kelce Has the Perfect Cat Name for When She Finally Convinces Jason to Adopt (Exclusive)

Jason Kelce and Kylie Kelce attend Thursday Night Football Presents The World Premiere of 'Kelce' on Sept. 8, 2023 in Philadelphia, Penn.

Those who tune into Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce's podcast, New Heights, likely remember the brothers' conversation about Jason's wife, Kylie Kelce, wanting to adopt a cat. Although the Philadelphia Eagles center was adamantly against adding a feline to their family, Kylie still hopes he'll have a change of heart.

In fact, she already has a name picked out for when/if she finally convinces Jason.

For an exclusive interview with Parade—during which Kylie promoted her partnership with Lindt and shared her love for Lindor Truffles—the mom-of-three opened up about her cat name ideas and whether she's made any headway in persuading Jason.

"We're still stalled out a little bit," Kylie admitted. "I will say that we have discussed it briefly here and there. I will never get a cat without his approval, or even just like a little hint of approval."

She noted that Jason had a "great cat growing up that he really loved," which was an outdoor pet—so it's not that he's anti-cat by any means.

"I think we just need to get to a place where we can have sort of that indoor-outdoor cat situation. And then maybe down the road, we can mix in like an indoor cat," Kylie explained. "I think we just have to bring the cat in for a few days, maybe when he's gone, so that the girls can name the cat. And then he can't send the cat back."

As for her top contender for a potential cat name, Kylie took inspiration from one of Travis' nicknames.

"We have discussed a certain kind of cat that's like, sort of, like lighter in color and fluffier," Kylie told Parade. "And so I think that it would be really funny to sort of persuade him into enjoying the cat by naming it Yeti. Because then it's, like, paying homage to his brother. And so, like, then can you get rid of the cat?"

Of course, if Jason and Kylie's three daughters—Wyatt, 4, Elliotte, almost 3, and Bennett, almost 1—have any say, the cat's name could go in a very different direction.

"I'm sure that there will be opinions through and through about this," she shared. "So we might end up with a cat named Pickles. And I am also okay with that. I might prefer that."

Ultimately, Kylie stressed that she would never adopt a cat without ensuring Jason "was at least a little bit on board." She concluded: "We'll work him down."
