Kylie Jenner is taking cues from her teenage beauty archive, debuting statement-making teal-blue hair. After a string of full-spectrum colourful hair moments this year, from blush baby pink to a bleached bob, the media personality has now revisited her most famous 2014 shade, in a modern take on her famous 'King Kylie' look.
Though the maintained gloss and evenly-distributed colour of her fresh strands indicates that this could well be the result of a wig, the reveal of these oceanic tresses is still a transformation to say the least.
Teal was a signature hair colour for the reality TV star during the formative years of her beauty empire, Kylie Cosmetics. In 2014, Jenner was instantly recognisable from her unique black-to-blue ombré strands – often paired with heavy application of bold mauve make-up. In the hair colour's 2024 resurrection, we see how her personal beauty philosophy has evolved; instead of bold lashes and a crisp lip, the aquatic strands are accompanied by soft, flushed skin and minimal mascara.
While Jenner is far from the only celebrity to debut an unexpected beauty transformation this month, she is also not the first in her family. Model and older sister Kendall made headlines this week, showcasing a fluffy cropped pixie cut that lent an uncanny resemblance to her mother Kris. The quintessential nineties bob was also a wig, which she wore for Calvin Klein's latest campaign.
The 28-year-old also experimented with a fully micro-fringe and 1920s penciled brows for a recent photoshoot with Marni.
