Kylie Jenner’s ‘Deeply Appreciated’ Generosity Following Stylist’s Death Revealed
Days after the unexpected death of celebrity hairstylist Jesus Guerrero, his client and friend, Kylie Jenner, stepped up to help his family with one of the "many hoops" they've found themselves facing to "honor him in the best way" possible.
Guerrero's family put the youngest Kar-Jenner sister's generosity on full display in an update to the GoFundMe account set up by his sister, Gris.
"Our family deeply appreciates Kylie for...offering to cover funeral expenses," the update read, adding that the model had also "offer[ed] up all her help and support."
The family launched the fundraising page "thinking [they] would have to take care of all the expenses [themselves]," not wanting to "burden" Guerrero's clients with the ask.
With $96,000 raised before Jenner stepped in—at which point donations were no longer enabled—the funds have been redirected to help Guerrero's mother bring Guerrero and his belongings home to Houston.
"We would like to thank everyone for everything during this extremely hard time," Gris added in another update. "I know my brother was extremely loved and it really shows."
"He deserved all the blessings he was given and I hope with the help we’ve gotten he will get the send off from this earth that he deserves," she added.
The family didn't offer additional details about Guerroro's death at 34 beyond the fact that it was "so sudden and unexpected."
"...We hope everyone can respect our [family's] privacy as we try to gather answers ourselves to all the questions," Gris explained.
Guerrero was most recently known to have worked in Dubai, as Jennifer Lopez tagged him in glam shots posted from her "business trip" just days before his death was announced.
J.Lo, Jenner and more took to social media with heartbreaking messages after learning of his death.
"Jesus was more than my friend - he was a light in my life, a source of laughter, comfort, love, and unwavering support," Jenner honored him on Feb. 25. "He had a way of making even the heaviest days feel lighter."
"The pain of losing you is just unbearable and i don’t know how to move forward without you," she added, in part, "but I know great grief is born only of great love."
