Cult Kmart item returns and is already selling out

Kmart has brought back one of its cult favourite items, but you’ll have to be quick to get your hands on this one as it’s already sold out in plenty of stores.

The popular Egg Chair is back - again in a sleek looking black edition - with shoppers taking to social media to share their excitement over the return of the furniture item.

“The Kmart Australia egg chair is back!! But online only!” the Kmart Mums Facebook page shared.

“I neeeeed this,” was one person’s reaction.

“I want this so bad but my Afterpay’s are already out of control. Damn online shopping,” another mused.

The egg chair will only be sold online in NSW, Victoria, and Queensland and will not be available in stores or for click and collect purchases, with the retailer warning stock was limited and “once it’s gone, it’s gone!”

The $179 item - which sold “like hot cakes” when it was last released during Kmart’s Black Friday sale last November - is much cheaper than many of the more expensive versions available to buy meaning it’s no surprise that many are already saying they can’t get their hands on one.

“They’re already sold out,” one shopper lamented.

“I saw it this morning. I tried to get it online straight away and they're out of stock,” another wrote.
