Kim Kardashian's Latest Career Update Has Fans Declaring 'You're a Genius'

After making headlines for her appearance on Saturday Night Live's 50th anniversary specialKim Kardashian is back in the news with a major career announcement.

The reality star and entrepreneur took to Instagram on Tuesday, Feb. 18, to share the big news: Kardashian's best-selling shapewear brand, Skims, is collaborating with Nike for an all new line.

"Introducing NikeSKIMS," Kardashian captioned an image of the label's logo. "A new brand coming this spring for the body obsessed. Designed to sculpt and engineered to perform."

Kardashian's followers were enthusiastic, to say the least.

"Idk what is this but I need it," wrote one person.

"You are killing it smh," marveled a second, with someone else calling Kardashian "a working Queen."

"you’re a genius," another commenter declared.

"Nike and Skims share a deep commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and pushing boundaries, driven by an unwavering belief in the power of women," Kardashian said in a press release shared with USA Today.

"This partnership is the culmination of that shared vision, delivering product that is meticulously designed to sculpt and perform for every body," she continued. "Every single detail has been obsessed over and carefully considered."

The first NikeSkims collection is scheduled for launch this spring, with a global release to follow in 2026.

Founded in 2019, Skims was valued at $4 billion in 2023. Plans are currently in the works for a physical Skims store in Los Angeles.

According to CNN, Nike has struggled over the past year, reporting an 8% drop in sales in its most recent quarter. Following the Kardashian news, however, shares reportedly rose by nearly 3% in early trading.
