Kim Cattrall's demands 'halt' SATC 3
If fans were hoping to see a third Sex and the City movie they may have to hold out a little longer amid claims one of the leading ladies' "demands" has stopped production.
As reports swirl a third movie had been given the green light and was due to start filming in a matter of weeks, an insider has revealed Kim Cattrall is the reason production has halted.
"The only reason this movie isn't being made is because of Kim Cattrall. Everyone was looking forward to making this movie but Kim made it all about her, always playing the victim," the source told DailyMailTV.
"Kim had the audacity to tell Warner Bros that she would only do this if they made other movies she had in development. Ridiculous. Who does she think she is - George Clooney? This franchise made her and let's be frank, it's all she is really known for.
"Cast and crew don't just show up to make a movie, they have to rearrange their lives. People turned down other jobs, were in the process of relocating to New York but she kept stalling and was always unavailable when answers from her were needed."
While Sarah Jessica Parker was ready to reprise her role of Carrie Bradshaw alongside Kristin Davis as Charlotte York and Cynthia Nixon as Miranda Hobbs, the insider adds Warner Bros. decided to stop production as they felt it wouldn't be fair on the fans to not have Kim's character Samantha Jones involved.

Last year the 61-year-old actress confessed she may not be ready to say goodbye to her beloved Samantha just yet.
"Everyone is doing their own thing and if it was going to happen, it would have happened by now. It would be a challenge to do a third installment. It could be fun though. To say goodbye completely to Samantha would be pretty hard," Kim told Daily Record at the time.
After the HBO series ended after six seasons in 2004, the first Sex and the City movie was released in 2008, with a sequel following two years later.
