Kiernan Shipka was dreaming of Cole Sprouse long before the two actors ever crossed paths in the Archieverse.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan published on Tuesday, Dec. 3, the Sweethearts star confirmed that her childhood crush was on set when she filmed a Chilling Adventures of Sabrina / Riverdale crossover episode in 2022.

“Yes, Cole Sprouse!” Shipka, 25, admitted. “I had a poster of the Sprouse twins on my wall that I may or may not have kissed.”

“I remember when Sabrina was announced, he reached out,” Shipka said. “Vancouver’s pretty small, so all the shows shooting there kind of overlapped in hangouts and we got to know each other.”

“Cole I know now,” she added. “Cole ... we’re locked in. Cole is a buddy and Dylan’s a buddy, so maybe I was doing some version of manifesting at 6. Who knows?”

Shipka also admitted to harboring a crush on Kevin Zegers, star of 1997’s Air Bud, as a kid, but has so far failed to “manifest” a meeting with him.

“I’ve not encountered Kevin Zegers,” Shipka said. “I don’t know what he’s up to. I’d like to know though.”
