Yahoo Lifestyle KFC Fans Say They 'Gotta Try' Its New 'Loaded' Menu Items
KFC is kicking off 2025 with several new menu items and the highly-anticipated return of a fan-favorite hot sauce.
On Thursday, the fried chicken chain revealed its "hot new lineup of five flavor-packed bowls" would be available for a limited time at participating locations. The new additions offer a "saucy twist" on comfort food staples using its fan-favorite condiment: Nashville Hot Sauce.

Customers can now indulge in KFC's all-new Nashville Hot Loaded Fries Bowl, which stars "crispy fries, coleslaw, pickles, five Original Recipe® Nuggets, and served with Nashville Hot Sauce," per a press release shared with Parade.
Other spicy options include its Nashville Hot Mac & Cheese Bowl, described as "an explosive twist on a fan favorite, combining mac & cheese with five Original Recipe® Nuggets, three-cheese blend, and Nashville Hot Sauce," and its Nashville Hot Famous Bowl, which the company said is "a remix on KFC’s star player, with layers of mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, three-cheese blend, five Original Recipe® Nuggets, plus the delectably spicy Nashville Hot Sauce."
"KFC was the first brand to bring the bold and spicy flavors of Nashville Hot nationwide and we’ve amassed a fandom – so have our Famous Bowls and Mac & Cheese Bowls," said Catherine Tan-Gillespie, Chief Marketing Officer and Development Officer, KFC U.S. in a statement. "Our KFC Bowls are hearty and packed with flavor for just $5 each – that’s a winning deal."
Not into the heat? KFC's Mac & Cheese Bowl and its Famous Bowl can both be ordered without the peppery kick, and it's also introducing two digital exclusive menu items for people who prefer something with tang: a Korean BBQ Mac & Cheese Bowl and Korean BBQ Loaded Fries Bowl, the sweet and savory umami sauce first debuted on its Saucy Nuggets last year and features notes of soy sauce, garlic, sugar and sesame.
Fans are already impressed with the bowls, with several taking to the comments of food blogger SnackBetch's Instagram post promoting the new items.
"Yum," one exclaimed. "Both sound so good👏👏👏."
"Gotta try the Korean BBQ ones 👏👏," a second declared.
"I wanna try both 😮🔥," one more admitted.
All of KFC's new and returning menu items can be enjoyed for just $5 for a limited time or while supplies last.
