Kevin McGarry is so proud of his wife wife Kayla Wallace — and we definitely can see why!
The longtime couple first got together after meeting on When Calls the Heart, when they joined the show as Nathan Grant and Fiona Miller, respectively, in season 6. While Kevin is currently starring in season 12 of the Hallmark series, Kayla departed WCTH in season 10 to be part of the Paramount+ series Landman. What's more, Kayla's portrayal as Rebecca Falcone has contributed to the show's success — and it's now coming back for a highly-anticipated season 2.
Given how Kayla is making a name for herself outside of When Calls the Heart, what does Kevin think about his wife's success? Well, when speaking to Swooon about Kayla, he shared he couldn't be more proud of everything she's doing.
"I knew that she had that side in her," he told the outlet in an article published on February 12. "I saw the side she’s doing, but she’s absolutely killing it. She’s fantastic. Everyone on that show is fantastic. I’m very proud of her. She deserves all of this and I’m also enjoying watching Landman, too."
We so adore seeing couples support one another! And Kayla hitting the jackpot with Landman is not the only thing the duo are celebrating as of late.
Alongside Kayla continuing to make guest appearances on When Calls the Heart, Kevin and Kayla wed in September 2024 after years of dating. And if that wasn't enough, Kevin couldn't help but be thankful for their jobs allowing them to spark a romance on one of the most popular TV shows on Hallmark.
"I owe a lot to When Calls the Heart for not only helping my career and giving me a job and meeting all my friends, but meeting Kayla," he explained about the evolution of his love for Kayla. "Meeting my wife — it’s been the most special part of being on that show."
So, is there a chance folks could see Kevin and Kayla back on screen together? As of right now, Kevin insists that it'll only be when Kayla's character potentially makes more surprise pop-ups to Hope Valley in the future. But he's not ruling out starring alongside his wife — especially since that's how the two met in the first place.
"We love working together," he added. "I think it’s just more right now, Kayla’s kind of got her own trajectory, going in a different direction, and I think she wants to focus on that. I’d never say never. But, like I said, she’s a busy lady right now, and she’s got prior commitments."
Well, looks like we may see them sharing the TV screen together in the future... and judging from Kevin's comments, maybe it could be on Landman?
