Kevin Bacon Is a Resurrected Bounty Hunter Chasing Demons in Gory Trailer for Amazon’s The Bondsman

Kevin Bacon has been to hell and back… and he’s taking a few demons back with him.

Prime Video has released the official trailer for The Bondsman, a new horror-comedy series from Blumhouse Television that premieres all eight episodes on Thursday, April 3. In the trailer, which you can watch above, Bacon stars as Hub Halloran, a bounty hunter who ends up getting murdered on the job. The next thing he knows, he’s back on Earth, where he’s informed he’s been resurrected so he can “hunt demons for the Devil.” Piece of cake, right?

Hub’s new job has him hunting down demons who escaped the confines of Hell and bringing them back down to the fiery depths. That leads to a serious gorefest, with a demon-infested pastor peeling his gooey dead skull off the floor and Hub plunging a chainsaw right into another demon’s face. And hey, the whole ordeal might actually help Hub reconnect with his family, so there’s a silver lining to all this blood and guts.

The eight-episode, binge-drop series is created by Granger David, with Erik Oleson (Arrow, Carnival Row) serving as showrunner. The supporting cast includes Jolene Purdy (The White Lotus), Beth Grant (The Mindy Project), Jennifer Nettles (The Righteous Gemstones), Maxwell Jenkins (Lost in Space) and Damon Herriman (Justified).
