Kelsea Ballerini Halts Show to Handle Uncomfortable Wardrobe Malfunction
Kelsea Ballerini hit a career milestone in Nashville this week with her latest stop on her headlining tour when she sold out Bridgestone Arena. The "Penthouse" singer delivered an emotional and energetic show for her legions of fans that featured a surprise appearance by Keith Urban.
But Kelsea was forced to stop her performance mid-show to deal with a very uncomfortable wardrobe malfunction. Seated on the floor of the stage, she pulled off her knee-high cowboy boot and pulled out a wad of paper stuffing.
She addressed the crowd with her characteristic humor as she unzipped the boot, saying, "I have something important to say right now. I'm going to take one second longer than I should. I have a new outfit tonight, it's pink...I think the stuff that you put in the toe is still in it. It is, no it is." She pulled out the stuffing and showed it to the cheering crowd, instructing them to "talk amongst yourselves" as she remedied the situation.
Kelsea shared the clip on Tik Tok, and fans showed appreciation for how she handled the malfunction, commenting, "I adore how normal and down to earth you are!" and "LOL this is great. It's real and funny as heck." Another wrote, "I just love how she never fails to amaze us with how relatable she is. This is every day stuff for every day people."
Kelsea is taking a short hiatus from tour to head to the Grammys! She and Noah Kahan are nominated for best country duo/group performance for their duet "Cowboys Cry Too." Tune in to CBS at 8 p.m. EST/7 p.m. CST to see what she's wearing, and keep your fingers crossed for no wardrobe malfunctions!
