Kelly Clarkson Finally Gets 'Redemption' After Being 'Traumatized' by Anne Hathaway
Kelly Clarkson has finally redeemed herself.
During the latest segment of "Name That Tune" on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the singer and talk show host finally avenged the monumental mistake she made the last time she played the same game against Anne Hathaway.
In case you need a refresher, Clarkson previously went head-to-head with the Princess Diaries actress during a past game of "Name That Tune," during which she begged the band to "play a song I'll know" after she found herself losing to Hathaway.
The band complied, playing Clarkson's song, "Since U Been Gone," but she didn't even recognize it before Hathaway stepped up and sang the song instead, causing Clarkson to lie down on the ground in defeat.
But this time, Clarkson didn't let it happen again.
While facing off against John Legend, the players were once again given the instrumental intro for "Since U Been Gone"—and even though it took her a moment, Clarkson eventually caught on and began singing her own song.
"That's me! That's me!" the powerhouse vocalist shouted out while literally jumping for joy.
Clarkson again fell to the floor during the song, but this time because she was so excited to have recognized her track—even if she messed up the melody a bit.
'The melody in which I sang my own song because I was so excited was so bad," she confessed after Legend helped her fill in some of the gaps. "I sang it completely wrong."
Nevertheless, Clarkson finally redeemed herself.
"REDEMPTION!!!" the caption of the TikTok video read, while fans in the comments joined in to celebrate Clarkson finally restoring her honor.
"Anne Hathaway really traumatized her the first time she missed that song lmao," one user wrote, while someone else joked, "She fought against the Anne Hathaway in her head in that moment."
"That was revenge," another person added.
