Keira Knightley’s number one reason for having no more kids isn’t the pain of childbirth or the endless nights of disrupted sleep.

On Monday, Dec. 9. the actress, 39, gushed about her two daughters while promoting her new Netflix series Black Doves on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and also revealed why she won't be jumping to give them a little brother or sister.

“You know that thing where you’re like ‘Oh, you know they’re so nice. Should we have another one?’ ” Knightley said. “And you think, ‘Oh yeah, I could do the pregnancy. I could even do the birth but I cannot watch anymore Peppa Pig.’ So there's no more kids."

She said her kids are “very cool” with a passion for Japanese movies by Studio Ghibli, which is “lovely” after "seven years" of watching Peppa Pig.

Back in 2020, Hasbro revealed that the animated program was the most-watched on-demand series in the world, while the YouTube channel dedicated to Peppa’s adventures with her mummy, daddy and little brother George has garnered almost 38 million subscribers.

Knightley then revealed that her eldest daughter’s obsession with the series has been swapped for music artists such as Lizzo and Chappell Roan and while planning a disco party for Edie's, she was excited by the thought of “getting all the girls dancing" to their music.

However, the 9-year-old — who she said finds her “really embarrassing" — had other thoughts.

“You know when they're teenagers, you think ‘Yeah, they're gonna find me embarrassing.’ But yeah, but 9, right?” Knightley said, before imitating her daughter shunning her from the dance floor at the disco.

“'Mom, mom you are so embarrassing, just go and stand in the corner,'” Knightley recalled. "It was awful."

The mom of two welcomed Edie in May 2015 and Delilah in September 2019.

She has largely kept them out of the spotlight but speaks fondly of them in interviews. Her comments about Peppa Pig come after Knightley revealed to PEOPLE in 2022 that both of her daughters are fans of Disney +.

"Encanto is really big in our house. I mean, massive," she said. "Even my 2-year-old can sing 'We Don't Talk About Bruno,' so there's a lot of Encanto,” she said, referring to Delilah.

Elsewhere on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Knightley shared how being a mom inspired her to sign up for Black Doves because she “wanted to kick ass.”

“I’m a mom of two and I’m so child-friendly at home,” she said, with Fallon, 50, noting that she did all her own stunts in the series. “I just wanted to do something that was a bit punk and kind of blew everything up.”
