Yahoo Lifestyle ’Kay, So Here’s Why Ariana Grande Skipped the 2025 Grammys
Looks like Ariana Grande won’t be making an appearance at the 2025 Grammys tonight, despite being nominated for several awards. Why? Unclear, BUT let’s speculate!
First up, Ariana is currently in the middle of a giant, seemingly never-ending Wicked press tour, which just went into overdrive thanks to the Oscars. Meanwhile, there’s also the fact that Ari’s fans feel she was “robbed” by the Recording Academy due to Eternal Sunshine not being nominated in any of the major categories like Record of the Year, Album or the Year, or Song of the Year. Ari was nominated, however, for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Dance Pop Recording, for what it’s worth!
Either way, the Wicked actor hasn’t revealed why she skipped the Grammys, but something tells us she’s busy prepping for the Oscars.
In case you missed it, she recently celebrated her nomination on Instagram, writing, “Picking my head up in between sobs to say thank you so much to @theacademy for this unfathomable recognition. i cannot stop crying, to no one’s surprise. i’m humbled and deeply honored to be in such brilliant company and sharing this with tiny ari who sat and studied Judy Garland singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow just before the big, beautiful bubble entered. i’m so proud of you, tiny.”
She went on to add, “Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, for this acknowledgement @theacademy. thank you @jonmchu for taking this chance on me and for being the most unbelievably brilliant leader, human being, and most fierce friend. i am so deeply proud of my beautiful Wicked family. i am so proud of my Elphie, my sister, my dear @cynthiaerivo. your brilliance is never ending and you deserve every flower (tulip) in every garden. i love you unconditionally, always.”
To conclude her caption, she wrote, “I don’t quite have all my words yet, i’m still trying to breathe. but thank you. oh my goodness, thank you. Universal, Marc, my family, my heart. lemons and melons and pears, oh my.”
