Police lodge AVO application against Kate Ritchie's husband
An apprehended violence order application has been made on behalf of actress Kate Ritchie against her husband Stuart Webb.
The AVO application was lodged in the former Home and Away star’s married name, Katherine Leigh Webb, and is expected to be heard in court on October 24.
According to Legal Aid NSW this type of order is typically made “to protect people who may be fearful of future violence or threats to their safety”.
The couple have been married for nine years and together for 11 after meeting in 2008.
Earlier this year, Mr Webb made headlines after facing court for alleged mid-range drink driving. The former NRL was hit with a similar charge seven years earlier in 2012.
A NSW Police spokeswoman confirmed to Yahoo Lifestyle they are “investigating an incident at a home in Randwick on Thursday” but no charges have yet been laid.
Kate Ritchie’s representatives have been contacted for comment.
The 41-year-old is best known for playing Sally Fletcher for over two decades on Home and Away before finding further fame through her Nova radio show Kate Tim and Marty.
